SEP renews its support of YPI Scotland
Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) is delighted to announce that it has renewed its support of the Youth & Philanthropy Initiative (YPI Scotland) across Glasgow. Through YPI, an active citizenship programme, young people from across a whole school year group, work in small teams to actively research and understand the big social issues that affect their local community. In each school the programme culminates with a grand final where the best teams compete against one another to secure a £3000 Grant for their chosen local charity.
Originating in Canada, YPI is now an international programme and, in 2018/19, is being delivered in 256 secondary schools across Scotland. To date, YPI Scotland has engaged more than 140,000 students, providing them with the essential skills and confidence to grant over £3.2 million to hundreds of local charities. The programme is principally funded and managed in Scotland by The Wood Foundation.
